The Friends of Oberlin Village (FOV), is pleased to announce a Call for Applications for board member positions. The FOV Board of Directors consists of not less than four nor more than fifteen members elected or re-elected at its Annual Meeting in February.
The FOV Board meets quarterly, typically on a Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00. Tentative dates for the 2024 Board meetings are as follows:
Monday, February 12
Monday, April 8
Monday, July 8
Monday, October 14
Monday, December 9 – special board meeting to approve the FOV 2025 budget
Individuals newly elected to the FOV Board will serve a two-year term.
During 2023, the Board met via Zoom to accommodate board members residing outside of the RTP area. In 2024, the Board will continue meeting via Zoom or hold hybrid meetings.
Board members are expected to actively participate on the board and assigned committees and should anticipate dedicating approximately 15 volunteer board hours per month, including attendance of FOV general meetings and participating in FOV fundraising campaigns and events.
